Located at the front of the VQ37 engine of your Nissan / Infiniti , the smooth guide pulley (or idler pulley) has the role of guiding and maintaining the tension of the drive belt.
When the pulley bearings begin to wear, you may hear a high-pitched whistling or grinding noise. Over time, this can lead to complete bearing failure , causing the pulley to seize and the belt to break .

Included: bolt and washer.

Your VQ37VHR engine has three guide pulleys at the front.
This pulley, identified as the "smooth" version, is illustrated in the parts diagram below.

The pulleys vary depending on the year of the vehicle:

• The 2009 to 2013 models use a 10 mm bolt .

• 2014 and newer models (2014+) use an 8mm bolt .

Make sure you select the correct year from the options on the right.
